June 5th is World Environment Day It  focuses attention on important environmental issues. According to the United Nations "World Environment Day is commemorated each year on June 5th. It is one of the principal vehicles through which the United Nations stimulates worldwide awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and action."
... and it's on a Sunday!  But, hey... the environment isn't exactly important if they only give it ONE day... and you didn't even know THAT!  So, screw the environment!
Besides, you've got other Days to look forward to!Take Your Dog to Work Day  And, I've just gotta ask "Why!?  They say every dog has it's day. Well, that day has arrived. On this day, your dog gets to join you at work. Once he arrives at work, your dog can tag along, following you on all of your work chores. He'll be at your side all day long. He'll frown at those dog eared papers on your desk. He'll end the day happy, but dog-tired.
Now, that' we've had our chuckle, it's time to recognize that this is a serious holiday for "Man's Best Friend". It is sponsored by Pet Sitters International. The objective is to recognize the importance of dogs in our lives as both companions and protectors. The organization also encourages you to help homeless dogs. One way to do so, is to adopt a dog today! Wow! A Dog day!  I find it typically Human that there isn't so much as a mention, not one day, nada...nothing about helping the homeless PERSON! QUESTION: Once your dog has arrived at your work...then what? What do you do with him? Will there be organized activities and a luncheon in his honor!? (You couldn't make this stuff up!)
But wait...  right after "NATIONAL" YO-YO DAY, we have International Panic Day .. a day for everyone to be worried and concerned. We're not sure what's so big, and so widespread, to create an international incident of this magnitude.  But, there it is on the calendar folks......an international day of panic. June 18th!   This is the perfect day for you Humans to jump off tall building and have mass suicide parties. (Well, it's just a suggestion!) On a more serious note:TODAY IN HISTORY(1889)The brassiere was invented.(As we understand, it received a lot of support.)
Normally, I'd say "Happy Holiday's" or something to that effect, but I've gotta start working myself into a frenzy in anticipation of June 18th.
By the way... they'll be handing out free Prozac down at the clinic to help you in your paranoid state.

The entire month of June is dedicated to National Recommitment Month! So, if you observed " National Alcohol Awareness Month" last month, you're obligated to recommit to another month of drinking!
